Tony Bordonaro and Ingrid Kapteyn
Intimate.
Evocative.
Immersive.
An invitation to everyone in the audience to abandon impatience and instead measure – and treasure – time in slow motion.
…in the artists’ own words:
Tony Bordonaro: As dance artists we believe the movement of the body is highly expressive. That’s why we choose to tell stories physically. The audience is always the primary focus of the experience we are creating.
No Proscenium interview by Kathryn Yu
Ingrid Kapteyn: We read the news and feel the world’s desperation for the healing power of empathy. The silence of movement, with everything else stripped away, can be one of the most simple and articulate ways to tell a story.

…in NPAFE’s words:
Tony Bordonaro and Ingrid Kapteyn are among New York City’s most gifted creative teams in immersive theater, bringing their powerful imaginations not just to the stage but right to and into the audience.
They believe in storytelling as culture’s oldest and dearest way of inspiring empathy, with the power to incite people to listen carefully and make the characters’ moments of understanding and transformation their own.
Bordonaro’s and Kapteyn’s works are passionate. Courageous. Blunt. Subtle. Fierce in creativity, identity, and meaning.
They open a window on the rawness of human feeling, desire, passion, eroticism, anger, kindness, blindness, and love.
They draw us in, rather than leaving us as onlookers, with the power to captivate any of us ready to break out from our own imaginative constraints and let ourselves go.
