Magic in storytelling through music, dance, songwriting, and at the keyboard. On Broadway.
Using her passion to make an impact in the performing arts world.
Embracing imperfections and spreading light, leaving audiences awestruck in moment and memory…oh, and staying spicy.
From New York City…

Miriam Ali in her own words…
I am forever grateful for the time and energy my teachers and mentors have put in to help me grow as an artist and a better human being.
…
365 days in a year to inevitably grow. Gradually or instantly…a new chance every single day to stretch my mind. To become more beautifully vulnerable in my own skin. To truly feel each moment, the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. To feel the subtle shifts. I still have so much to learn and yet to discover…and that’s the beauty of it all.
…
As a Libra, music is the center of my existence, so I hope to make my own mark with music. I hope to bring an energy that adds value to spaces & lives around me. To be so, “Ridiculously passionate that people think I’m a little crazy.”
Miriam Ali in NPAFE’s words…
…There aren’t many in the world of the Performing Arts who can claim to have made it to the On-Broadway stage by age 19. A member of that exclusive club, Miriam Ali stands out as much for her fierce determination to make her way to stardom as for her truly markable array of performance talent: as a pianist, vocalist, dancer, songwriter and – especially – as a supportive colleague to so many among the vast New York City community of performance stage artists.
…We first learned of this remarkably talented human being while attending Katie Drablos’ memorable 2023 mid-summer “Summer Grooves” production at Manhattan’s Arts On Site. Totally by surprise, there among the eleven dance performances, was Ali, tall, strong, elegant, wrapping the audience around her little finger with a riveting rendition of “There’ll Be Some Changes Made”. Verve. Sophistication. A dance and musical moment of performance excellence that captivated everyone in the audience. She was that good! She is that good!
…Talk about class. Talk about crafting the extraordinary. Talk about the special skill of marrying movement to music! That’s Miriam Ali. No wonder that in 2021, she got that call, not quite out of the blue, to join the cast of the acclaimed “Funny Girl” revival. There she was, on stage to the delight of the whole cast…which you can see in one of the videos further down on this page.
…Hardly has this gone to Ali’s head. She is nonstop there in classes, in studios, among friends and acquaintances, teaming with Drablos and others to accompany students in session after session at Steps On Broadway, more than singing and playing piano and instead sharing her on knowhow with any and all comers on their own paths to performing arts success. We’re speaking of generosity here, of Miriam Ali’s generosity in giving time and thought to helping others. And helping them a lot.
…Ali`s biggest goal and dream for the future is to have her own album, to go on tour and share her music live with audiences. As for what’s to come, be on the lookout for Ali’s upcoming new creations as an evocative Singer-Songwriter and creative collaborator bringing new works to the stage with her New York City colleague choreographers and dancers. She is a master at using evocative music and movement to create a sense of beauty, emotion, depth and a vivid sensory experience that will stay with you.
…Plus this one last note: as no one else could possibly do it, Ali turns a closed-off stairway in a tall Manhattan building into a performance space that echoes with the perfect pitch of bright, lively vocals, recorded solely with an iPhone and overflowing with verve.…
…You’ll see that and much more as part of her audience, right in the same stairwell. And in many more exciting venues, too. Follow her Instagram for your reserved seat on the Miriam Ali magic wild carpet ride. You’ll love every minute!
“Miriam, you have stretched me creatively and opened up new ways for me to create. I am so grateful. Your willingness to share is brave, vulnerable and amazing. And I just can’t believe we all get to dance to your beautiful voice and playing live!”
