Rob Whittle
Rob is the longtime owner/CEO of Williams Whittle, a marketing and advertising agency located in Old Town Alexandria. Long recognized as a leader in the mid-Atlantic region, the agency celebrates its 50th birthday in 2017.
Williams Whittle specializes in marketing nonprofits, including the American Red Cross, the USO, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Pan American Health Organization, PBS, Virginia Hospital Center and many others. Offerings include TV, print, digital, strategic communications planning and branding.
While the agency is among the most awarded in the region, Rob received the highest personal recognition in the industry when he was selected for the Silver Medal Award by the American Advertising Federation for personal contributions to the betterment of the advertising business.
He has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including Chairman of Goodwin House, a two-campus Continuous Care Retirement Community; Juvenile Diabetes Foundation; Alexandria Community Trust; and as North American regional director for ICOM, the largest international network of independent ad agencies.
On a personal note, Rob is the author of two historical novels, Pointer’s War and Pointer and the Russian. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives with his wife in Old Town. They have two daughters and a granddaughter. (back to Team page)
